The 47th President of the United States
On January 20, 2025, a convicted felon, Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th president of the United States.
The Bible tells us in 1 Timothy 2:1 to pray for our leaders. I think this one needs Jesus because he, apparently, did not put his hand on the Bible during his swearing in ceremony; and the last time I saw him with a Bible in his hand, he held it upside down. So, let us pray.
Remember that when Jesus was on the cross, one of the criminals said: “ Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” And Jesus replied, “I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise.” (NLTSB Luke 23:42-43)
All things are possible.
Of course, I did not watch the 2025 Inauguration because it was MLK DAY! We all have to make choices. And I chose to spend my day honoring the man who did so much for mankind that he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964. Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr trumps Trump any day of the year.
