I watched the DNC on C-Span (without commercials and commentators). Prior to watching the Democrat National Convention, I watched the Republican National Convention. The highlight of the RNC — Hulk Hogan ripping his shirt — did not move me to join the Trump camp. However, after listening to the voices at the DNC and Vice President Kamala Harris’ acceptance speech, I am convinced that she is destined to become our next President. She is prepared and will be a strong, yet compassionate leader. She can count on my vote and my voice to encourage others to vote for her.

Please join me in encouraging family, friends, neighbors and co-workers to vote for HARRIS / WALZ for President and Vice President of the USA! And, remind them to vote for each Democrat, separately, down the ticket, because many states do not allow straight ticket voting.
In order for HARRIS/WALZ to be successful when they assume office in January 2025, we must vote for Democrats for the US Senate and House of Representatives.

Democrats down ballot are important locally. The Republican candidate for NC Governor, Mark Robinson, who says women should keep their “skirts down” and “their body does not belong to them if they become pregnant” due to rape must be defeated. Robinson is a black man. But, he does not represent the best of good black men like my Father, my brother, my nephews, my son, or any of the other good, strong, intelligent black men I know. Normally, a black man in the political arena would get my vote just because I know how hard the road was that he traveled. But this black man will not get my vote because his thinking is perverted, or perhaps the lure of power and 30 pieces of silver has drowned out his common sense. Whatever demons led him to make such horrific statements, can only be overcome with “prayer and fasting” in my humble opinion.
