Donald Trump’s Character Disqualifies Him for the Office of President of the United States.

It’s been more than 8 hours since the 2nd presidential debate ended, and I still feel shell-shocked. I feel like Donald Trump assaulted Hillary Clinton on live TV, while we watched.

For me, it boils down to this: Trump was exposed making repugnant statements about how he treats women. Rather than apologizing and taking responsibility for his offensive words, he went on the offense by pointing out a man (Bill Clinton) whose behavior he considers worse than his. Compounding this, Trump assembled a group of women who hate Hillary Clinton and let them loose in an arena where Hillary was, for all intents and purposes, held hostage. Trump used these women to do his dirty work — torment Hillary Clinton in full view of mesmerized spectators, including her daughter. I am embarrassed that I watched.

All of this was done because Donald Trump wanted to win a debate and, ultimately, become president of the United States. Trump’s actions proved once and for all that the content of his character is not what we need in a United States President. He simply does not understand that “just because you can do something, doesn’t mean you should.”
